The grime on the leon, and the civic for that matter is from the A947 banff to Turriff, then back roads from there to Inverurie then shauns civic going to Dunecht and my leon to Aberdeen and return. All roads you will have travelled and know well Zel!

And shaun usually uses the 107 just now to Dunecht and it is just a rolling mud pack! I only see it in the dark so I can't get a photo how dirty it it lol

Place I used to (and to be honest still do to an extent) call home can be found by looking at a map of NE Scotland and drawing a triangle between Inverurie, Huntly and Turriff - our house was to within a couple of miles smack in the middle of the triangle. As we used to say, approximately 16 miles from nowhere.

Turns out I haven't in fact left that crud up there...Gave a housemate a run over to a friend's place in Banbury and back yesterday...this is what the poor old Saab looked like by the time I got home...Used nearly an entire tank (which holds a gallon!) of washer fluid...

Really need to give the cars a wash ASAP to get that stuff off them before they dissolve.

I washed one of my cars, then paid a visit to a gentleman from here who lives in Newport Pagnell a couple of weeks ago. It was much the same colour as your Saab by the time I'd driven the 70 miles up there..

I went to a car wash when I filled up last (I know)!
The brushes reached the windscreen and died.
So I have a clean bonnet and front wings. The rest of it somewhat grubby - last wash was for the Chevrons rally - or possibly earlier.
I just pretend it is a borrowed car

Yesterday was an incredibly mucky day! I went for a bike ride and not only had to wash the bike but also myself and the clothes I was wearing...

A shower, not the same one, did the job for both me, the bike and the clothing...

Do you have full mudguards on your daily bike?

No, only 'RaceBlades'. They keep off only some of the muck and mainly serve to prevent a 'rooster tail'...

The bike does not allow full mudguards to be fitted as it has no lugs for them...

I do have my mountain bike a bit more fully mudguarded...

That's interesting as I was thinking of putting them on my 25 year old Cannondale road bike that I recently resurrected as a winter bike to save the Bianchi from being ruined. At the moment I have just one of those sheet plastic things that clips under the saddle, but it doesn't seem to fit the Flite Titanium that well and keeps twisting to one side. I have an even older fixed wheel Roberts with full (Blumels) guards on, but I'm not currently fit enough for some of the hills and also as I don't only use it, I keep forgetting I can't freewheel, which can be interesting*
