Due to what could escalate later I may be no longer the custodian of the 107 and putting the 205 back on the road for a daily hack for the meantime while I look for another small cheap insurance and tax car. It will also put paid to the cheap holiday I was going to book which was going to fit in with picking up the activa in a few weeks. So basically I want a c1 or 107 for a grand for a daily. Or something with a veg friendly derv. Preferably used free veg. But not an xm, far too big for my daily use.

Ohh Davie, I'm so sorry to learn your holiday has had to be cancelled  Sadly and for possibly very different reasonss my visit to France has had to be cancelled too :(

Good luck on finding a C1/107. I'm sure you will and if you find an early one needing a new clutch than I'd be happy to do it for you ;)

Well there will not be a holiday for the time being, but I'm really glad to report the 107 is staying. I'm not going to go into why it was under threat. I hope the same situation does not rear it's head in the future. So I suppose it is oil and filter time, 9000 miles mostly stop start stuff in 6 months. It has a hard life, and just gets on with it with no complaints. I'm thinking as the miles go on I will reduce the oil changes to 6 or 7000. It's so easy and cheap to do, and will be the best thing to keep it in good condition considering the use it gets.

If you have an Asda near you they are doing their own brand of oil (which, I believe, is made for them by Comma) for £14 for 5L. That helps with the costs.

If you're quick Davie, you can order everything to give it a full service for £33 from GSF before midnight. That's air and oil filters, plugs and oil.. (ignore their recommendation and choose your own, the Carlube 5W/30 stuff at £28 for 5 litres). 40% off until midnight using code APRIL40 at checkout, I ordered today and it came to £33 Inc free delivery, £5 cheaper than the C1 Store service kit..

I won't buy anything from the c1oc store. The guy lists heaps of stuff he doesn't have and has to order for you. When he can't get it and you get fed up waiting and buy it somewhere else he then won't refund your money, then the emails start getting abusive.

I'm glad you told me that. So far it's mirroring my experience with them. I ordered some speakers with wiring adaptors (simply to save me cutting the originals off). Speakers and Osram Nightbreakers arrived, but no wiring adaptors. That was 12 days ago. Apparently the wiring adaptors were posted then... and again on Saturday when I emailed asking where they were.

Wish you'd posted this before I ordered some mats from him yesterday!
