Oh the other common fix I saw a lot of was a tiny bit of spare leakoff pipe with a screw and cable tie on clients cars, to be fair it not appear to be leaking but I only wanted a 'bung' for the vac port on the servo t-piece hose, had to warm the bung in some hot water to soften it a bit as it was a tight fit but all's good in that respect.

Andy, that's exactly what I ended up doing as I go fed up with those end caps splitting for a pastime More trouble than they're worth. Never had an issue with a short length of pipe doubled over on itself and tied off...
