btw: latest generally available (i.e. from other places) is 6.35, I'm still on 6.30, haven't seen much of a reason to update as mine has been running pretty well as is. There is a disc image floating around also that will install 6.01, but then it'll update itself to 6.30, rather than having to faff around with the micro-updates. (there are two other updates I've seen 6.30->6.32 and 6.32->6.35)
I'm guessing most of the updates really only affect Diagbox, rather than Lexia itself (aside from bugfixes I would imagine).

Actually not been on Jim's website. On the phone the other day he did tell me about updates and other stuff available so will check that out later.
Definately 6.32 on disc supplied. The file is 'DiagBox Update V6.31 to V6.32 NEW VERSION.exe' and weighs in at 48.1Mb and obviously it works ok as that is what i'm running on.
If you can't get hold of it or even need it in the first place i can upload to Netload for you if any good?
Like Ben says not sure of any real benefits of going up that far but curiousity got the better of me.I think Lexia is still running at v500.41 or something like that from memory.

I think I've managed to track down the original source of Diagbox updates from scary mistake:

http://www.auto-professionals.co.uk/sho ... hp?tid=196" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

As well as updates to 6.35 (which I'm downloading as we speak) there is also the fully patched 6.30 you mention Ben, meaning that a full install would be a direct installation to 6.30 then only two patches to get to the latest 6.35. Depending on the file size I'll download that as well as the original install and update process that came from my (older) disc from Jim is a bit laborious...

Yup, that's the one that I use :) The 6.30 ISO is 1.2Gb, so not too bad.

I'm downloading it now. If I update my original Lexia disc installation (6.01 with manual patching and a whole bunch of updates) to version 6.26 or later I get "PartialTrace.exe - Application Error. The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135)" during launching the application, however it goes on and seems to work, although I have not tested it on a car yet. Even on 6.35 I get the same message.

I'm curious to see whether a fresh install using the already patched 6.30 version (then update to 6.33 then 6.35 from there) will fix this problem. Google searches don't turn up any relevant matches to partialtrace.exe let alone anyone reporting the same issue. :( It works fine up to version 6.24 so worst case is I just stay on that version...

I get exaclty the same error sometimes having done all the updates to 6.32.Seems to work perfectly though.

Might be tempted to download and install this myself but there REALLY is no need for what i want to do but know i will give in eventually!

Not sure if being a bit thick here or what but is there a specific log-in or url for Jims site that should have been supplied along with the hardware or is it just a case of registering as normal and choosing your own sign in details? If so do you have to put in a transaction reference or similar to authorise any member downloads etc?

No idea as I got mine from eBay, however you're probably better off getting the software from the auto-professionals site that Simon linked to, where you're getting it pretty much from the source. :)

Got mine through Jim's Ebay site too.

As for the software you are right of course but when i spoke to him i'm sure he said there were other downloads available such as tech sheets etc but maybe i'm just dreaming! Not exactly the end of the world but don't like to think i'm missing out on anything :)

As far as Diagbox updates go the members section of easydiagnostics just seems to have a text file with some links to some rapidshare download links - not all of which were working when I tried them! The link I posted to the auto-professionals forum seems to be the original source for diagbox updates from scarymistake so I would probably just get them from there from now on, (more up to date than Jim's site - 6.35 while Jim's only has 6.31 currently) and also the built in internet update option as I've had problems with that post 6.24.

I'm currently running 6.35 (which is the latest as I write) and while I get the Partialtrace.exe error during launch everything seems to work ok, I was able to fully read my Xantia on Sunday in the Lexia app and there were no visible problems with Diagbox, although I haven't tested it on a Diagbox requiring car like a C4. (Should be ok though I think)

I also tried a fresh installation using the "Diagbox 6.30 full already patched" installer and I must say the installation process is a lot quicker and easier with fewer steps to get up to 6.30 - as long as you run the installers from a DVD or iso mounter. If you already have Diagbox installed there is no advantage to starting over again though, and its a 1.2GB download to download the 6.30 installer plus a few hundred megabytes for the updates to 6.35. But if you're ever wiping and starting over its the way to go.

See the bashe 5 thread for more info.
