New alternator needed ?

My alternator is this one



almost the same apart from the battery lead connections, mine is a pillar type one rather than a plug in one.
My wife is Irish and he looks and sounds a bit like my brother in law except he is from the NW Mayo end and my wife's family are from Cork.

Cost 23 Euros + 6.50 Euros postage to France, that is about £24 in real money. Not a Bosch one but should be ok (being picky a Bosch one failed). Best price for a Bosch one was in France at 43 Euros + 5 Euros postage. Seems a good guy, wasn't on his e-bay site so I e-mailed him numbers and he responded quickly. When we had identified it he put it up on e-bay next day, there were others there just not my pillar type fitting version.
I will let you all know how I get on when fitting it, hope that is the problem.
