Hi all!!
Hopefully will be there, really enjoyed it last year!! hopefully someone will have a lexia with them and will be able to run a diagnostic on my Xantia to tell me why my abs light is on?? (if i haven,t sorted it by then!!) in exchange for beer tokens of course!!!

Steve, if you have a multimeter to hand you can do a basic test of your ABS sensors to see if any of them have failed. Gracie had both of her front ones fail, and I replaced both for less than £30;

Thanks chaps!
I have a multimeter and at the moment are waiting for some decent weather/time off work so i can have a looksee!! just thinking it would be handy to run a diagnostics test if i dont get it sorted!! (work is a bit manic at the moment!!)

Steve, I hope we'll see you at the X Rally even if you have fixed your ABS by then?

Bet it's the front nearside sensor :wink:

Steve, it only takes a few minutes to check the sensors using that link. If you find a front sensor has failed, it should be possible to replace it within half an hour (including take the wheel off and putting it back on). I cannot say how long it takes to change a rear sensor.

Ahh yes sorry, WTF is a 1989 Olympic Blue BX 16TRS with 44,000 miles on the clock, it is by my own admission in fabulous condition now but has been upgraded to look like a later model, better seats, smoked lendes,new bumpers, GTi splitter, is now wearing 16v alloys and will have a 2.0 TCT engine fitted soonish.
