This xantia? Fine.. but not in my possesion. She was wasted sitting dooing nothing.. so I have sold her to a local guy who has said she is amazingly wonderfull.. told him I want it back after he has finished .. which he said no problem..

Fuel pressure regator ... it lives in the end of the engine pump and can cause all number if issues and headaches..

its not too hard to change if you lift up the fuel filter and remove the filters btacket.. 3x 6mm allen bolts..

Im useing a C5 HDi 8v auto at the moment, and when the auto box lock up is sorted, she will be strip down and engine out.

Ive got A 2.1 TD SD Manaul XM to sort out - weld a hole and tart up a bit to use...

Are you just stripping the engine out?! If you don't need the gearbox for anything why wait for the lockup issue to be sorted?! Hope it's nothing too serious!!

NOPE Will.. I want to transplant the WHOLE LOT! from C5 to something else!!

And NO, I tell you now it aint as slow as a 2.1 TD auto either! Its an AL4 semi electronic, so it doesnt sap up much if any engine power!

Well Taffy, I have a different opinion of them now!! They are a far more modern machine, they do show the Xantia as being slightly dated!

However, its still a Facelift from 2005 C5 the one to go for and the 2.0 16v HDi engine!!

This C5 HDi auto does an Average of 42mpg!! Thats the 8v engine, same as Xantia, an auto box, and a bigger body.

Shame you dont want a HDi Xant, I know of a Maroon one for sale in Exclusive trim with VSX Xantia Alloys instead of the awfull Eclusive centreless ones.

The AL4 autobox Torque converter lockup which prevents box slippage is electronically activated by an electro valve, which is apparently a common issue to fail... it just causes more engine revving when driving..
