Could always whip them out and let the tips soak in acetone overnight and see if it helps :)

Well, I did NOT get a Job I was hoping for...

So, as things are VERY Tight, looks like my cheapest way to currently stay on the road is to stick another 6 months on this HDi and continue driving like an old fart!!

Now at 271k I wonder if we can hit the 300 in the next 6 months! Or I burn it because of the cutting out.

Im hedging closer to dooing a complete engine harness swap and possibly complete fuel filter housing swap too..

I THINK but im not positive the cutting out when its gonna happen is when the injector rattle switchs off, useually 3k upwards but Im not certain.

Cheers Taff,

Had it all planned, waiting for the phone car, Weld the rear inner Cills on my Black L reg TD Xantia, MOT, Tax and retire the Exclusive.

But Alas, cant afford the MOT, cant afford the insurance swap on top of taxing. So Ill have to plod on...

Xantias are a mysteriously high group. My 260BHP Impreza was cheaper than my HDi to insure.

Ah thanks for offer taffy but I'd NEVER will drive with a dodgy mot how little it may be.

It has to be safe and I do always want an external examination even if it is nerve racking..

Paul,

I'm so sorry about the job, I know how much of a disappointment it really is for you, Wish there was something I could do to help.....

Still that Xantia of yours just keeps plodding on.....
