I cant trust anymore! This cut out on me AGAIN tonight right as I pulled out into the A55 traffic to get going! and an artic trundleing up behind me luckilly found a gap to move into... NOT IMPRESSED! Not got time to be farting around with this!

A replacment needs sorting now!

Hi Will, thats a very kind offer, im not sure what im gonna do just yet, I could probably get hold of vinces old TD, L4VRH for about 200 quid after I sell the XM...

but REALLY, I want to get this hidden TD auto XM on the road instead of anything else..

ah mate must be a doggy wire or earth maybe....have you checked injector rates

Injectors and ALL the fuel system off a NON Faulty car.. with ZERO issues!

Honestly Paul, it's sat on the drive and just needs a Hoover, hrw/blower mod, and sensor fitting and an mot. It's got tax on it and I'm happy for you to have it if you do the jobs as a get you by car. Could even pick it up tomorrow if you wanted

Paul drop me a pm or mail as if you can drag the trailer over you can have for as long as you need jobs will take about 2hra to complete and I can't think it needs anything more for the mot as I was just going to service it as well(the kit is there with the oil for this as well )

Nothing to tow trailer with now Will, if the car cant pull itself, it has NO Chance with a car and trailer on back.

Ive GOT to get rid of an XM (almost there) and the Xantia HDi shell first before anything comes over.

Get a train over Paul. I'll be back Sunday morning very early or can get key left ready for you and it's insured and taxed so near enough ready with little work and I'd rather see you use it and stay reliably mobile than it sit there waiting for me and you struggle. Even has about 10litres of good new veg in it and runs a dream once a you do 2 glow plug runs

Oh Paul, that's a right sod with your HDi

Those sort of faults are the very, very worst of all and are the bane of electronics engineers everywhere.

The hope is that it goes 'solid' soon and allows you to nail it once and for all. I'm with Will here that it sounds a bit electrical.

Bugger.... Not much left to go at - have you got a spare ECU you could try? What does Lexia say about the boost pressure when you give it some?

Boost pressure only throws the car into limp mode, and limits the revs. On the lexia, boost is fine, it doesn;t go over.

This cut out has NO warning! Litterally! NO warning the engine just STOPS!

Im not wasting my time on it. Ill drive gently, save fuel, and sort something else out. If I drive nice and gently then she will go forever, AND I can go on up to 100mph if I try...

sounds same overboost prob i had
or solinoid or vac pump or pipes?
