Unfortunately there's nothing really like that out there for the C4.

The only one I've seen is that you can get an off the shelf Sportex Backbox with a choice of styles from around £125+.

Haven't heard of anyone going for one yet so quality is unknown, but Sportex are usually quite good.

I might be the first :)

Just need the centre section now....

Update time:

The car is due an MOT shortly, and my headlights are still pointing at the floor. This is despite paying for diagnostics and Citroen telling me the rear sensor is FUBAR'd. I replaced the sensor but it does not mate with the existing connection under the car. Today I took my car into Citroen and left the key with the service department and asked them to fix it. Let's hope they do!

MOT is booked for Tuesday.

Collected the car last night and Citroen advised me that the plastic clip which holds the plugs together was broken, and that they were unable to get a replacement. They didn't charge me for the diagnosis.

I took the car home and with the aid of a couple of cable ties connected the two plugs. Success! My headlamps point in the correct direction, and also point round corners :)

Excellent result!

Just out of interest do your headlight washers work? Mine don't but passed MOT the other day without comment. (As I understand it Xennons must have washers for MOT now)

No idea! I guess the lights have to be on when spraying for them to work?

Normally that is the case...

Also there is a timer relay to limit the time they're on too as the pump has the capacity to drian your washer bottle in no time at all...

A very common problem on older Citroens is failure of the (pink) timer relay due to dry joints. Very easy to fix..

It is also possible that there may be a counter involved, so as not to empty the tank too quickly. I had a Skoda Octavia that would have a 5 count, so the headlights would get washed on the first time, then 6th, then eleventh and so on.

No doubt on something as space-age as a C4 they will have got all clever James

I'm thinking of how they do it on the Xantia and XM and that's likely far too old-hat for a C4...

I remember from my last VTS they spray twice each wash & make a mess by spraying washer fluid over the whole of the front of the car! This is why I wasn't too bothered that they don't work on my current car.

Hmmm, mine don't seem to work.

Bigger issues afoot however. I seem to have lost power steering! It works when you start the car but gets worse till eventually it stops. Ideas?

It's electric I think - check the state of the battery and the the connections, especially after a run to see if they are hot. However, I suspect this may be a problem with the pump, and ££££ are likely to be invovlved.... 8-[

Edit: £520 configured by the looks of it

Sorry to hear of this. I take it you checked the fluid level?
Quite a few threads on C4Owners about this, such as http://c4owners.org/plugins/forum/forum ... 08679.post" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
so might be worth having a search.
Good luck with it

Mine don't work either, and with mot looming in a few weeks I had a wee look yesterday. The fuse is blown. I dont have an appropriate fuse but will get and and then see if that is all I need. The problem might be finding out what caused the fuse to blow. I hope it is as simple of replacing the fuse, pass mot and remove fuse!
