I'm winding down well now Jim having just gone for a brisk 30odd minute walk
with my two lunatic boxer dogs before calling it a day. They were playing with
a huge lump of tree and barking etc oblivious of the fact there seemed naff all
visibility. I always take a peaceful walk last thing with them where I know
they won't go hooning off and making a nuisance with other people/dogs as they
are very 'lively' dogs! I must be getting to be a grumpy git too as I prefer the
place to myself too especially on the nearby beach.
Guess I'm waiting for the adrenaline buzz from that exercise to abate
a bit...

Well i'm also not sleeping ... i should do my country equivalent of MOT soon . Tough i still need to fix horn on my car to pass it :/ and my problem is that i don't really have a place where to fix it and hate the car service shops
Re: What gearbox do i have? Xantia X2 ESJ9J4
Could just be the connections onto the horn itself mind as they tend to live in a low down quite exposed
area at the front of the car and can oxidise and green up. Then it could be the stalk is wearing it's contacts
but this all depends what car you're driving!

That sounds idyllic to me Andrew. A lovely deserted beach at night You're making me jealous!!
There can be several causes of horn failure. The steering wheel rotary connector assuming yours is an S2 (which also carries the airbag and radio controls), the horn relay or just a bad connection or earth at the horns themselves. Shame is it may well require the front bumper to be removed to get to them
Don't ever worry about posts going off-topic Evlo. It is very common on this forum; most do
EDIT: Andrew, you beat me to it on the horn problem Sleep well I'm just about to go for another try at sleeping...

Forgot to mention that the sky when there is no cloud cover is stunning here at night too with so
little light pollution helped significantly further by the cheapskate council switching all nearby
street lighting off!! Permanently in some cases by amputation - couldn't make this up. Talk about
short term ism...

That's great John
They do but no way do we need so many and so bright. I bet there's kids out there in the conurbations who've never seen a proper starry sky or the Milky Way - except the chocolate one perhapsjgra1 wrote:hate streetlights And.. I am sure they have their uses but..
Andrew, how many of your posts are autonomously made by iPhone? It's a worry - we need to knowandmcit wrote:Yep, I'm asleep now! Just my iPhone finishing my message...

Round here it's never dark enough and the horizons are too cluttered.Chris570 wrote: I've never seen the milky way, other than pictures.
You need to be out and about in the middle of nowhere, high up on one of those gorgeous cold, clear nights...
