Of tools :wink: .... My local Aldi has a multitude fo "bits" for what I will term portable drills; and perhaps more to the point, they are doing a set of combination spanners ranging from 8 to 32mm in 1mm steps for £29.99. They are well finished with good jaw thickness... worth a look for anyone in the market 8-) .

They also have some air tools in at attractive prices, as well as cordless drills and screwdrivers.

OK, not car related, but I have a feeling that some members might be glad to see what Aldi has on 2/7;

Lidl have car bits 23rd July, including dash cameras. Last time they had these, they sold out in hours!;

Mmmm, looking at various reviews on line, dash cameras are not all made equal when looking at clarity and night vision :o : . Caveat emptor as always :wink: ...

Anyone manage to get one of those dashcams? I tried 3 stores & there wasn't even I sign of where they'd been which, on past form, suggests that far from selling-out in hours, they'd never had any in.

The dash cams are not due in until 23rd (this Thursday), which is why you won't have seen them yet.

Ahhhhh! Never thought to look at the date of the poster outside the store - but I didn't think they usually put them up so far in advance.

I check the websites of Aldi and Lidl every Monday and Thursday (when they show what they have in the pipeline), and when I see car bits (and other things I think members will find useful) I post the link up, with the date they are coming into the stores.

That's very public spirited of you but being quite new on this forum I hadn't noticed that.

B-t-w, didn't do me any good - by the time I got to Lidl's last night, they'd all gone (& I won't be in Devon this w/e to possibly take advantage of everything being a little slower there, including the speed at which bargains fly off shelves (or, in Lidl's case - out of baskets!)
