You should see CGAT in the metal...Jaine wrote:I have to say I also think the CX looks awful.....Sorry, not my cup of tea at all.
What about the XM Jaine? Your thoughts?
Junk, it's a 24V V6 that one so goes as well as looks!

Neil's CGAT isn't all about the outside though, it's when you go under the bonnet things get interesting. I'm sure Neil will be along at some point...
Edit - here's a few vids on Youtube from a few years ago now and it's progressed further since then.
It is an utter fabulous car and performance wise it is certain something else...

You should see CGAT live. Pictures really don't do it justice, despite being of excellent quality.Junkman wrote:I think that CX looks simply awful.
The XM however looks surprisingly handsome despite the wheels are so out of tune with the overall character of the car.

Re: Poppy the Pug
Right the XM is nicely done, no gaudy paint colour & wheels are OK although maybe I would have them colour coded to the car, but thats just me. The CGAT is vulgar? That sounds awful but I think the whole thing just screams, "someone made a classic into a max power wet dream"...
I prefer cars that look pretty much standard then go like stink & surprise the hell out of ya. Does that make sense?
Like a nice Ford Anglia that has a monster of a Xflow in it but looks pretty normal apart from when you look closely & see the clues.
I am in no way slagging anyone off for what they do to thier car as I believe variety is the spice of life. I mean look at the colour of my Prefect!
At the end of the day anyone who has a love of cars, be it the chav at Mc Donalds on a Friday night with his Corsa or the owner of the CGAT I have time for as it is a common bond & passion, whatever your tastes may be.

Makes total sense to me JaineJaine wrote: I prefer cars that look pretty much standard then go like stink & surprise the hell out of ya. Does that make sense?

It's one of the things I love about the Activa and V6, and even Cassy (as she's had a few tweaks), there's nothing better than having some oik in a rep mobile try and climb in your boot because they make assumptions about your car and then leaving them behind struggling to keep up

The Activa and Xantia V6 very almost fall into the category of a Q-car. Gosh can a V6 surprise when it looks for all the world like a grandad's car

Just wait until we fit the manual boost controller to your Activa JimCitroJim wrote:YesJaine wrote: I prefer cars that look pretty much standard then go like stink & surprise the hell out of ya. It's good to show a clean pair of tailpipes every now and again. It don't half upset Beemer owners

It's very shiny
And the exhaust looks fine too. Better than the rather bland standard one for having a nice chrome tailpipe. Something more to keep polished
