There are plenty of front ended pugs that would fit in the design as well Steve ;)

Glad to hear it! Hearing something as sacrilegious as that would make me keep it!!

Ah well my plan for the bonnet went tits up so may just bollocks to it and drive up tomorrow for it in the xm as I know it will fit in that and don't want to risk it not coming down before next weekend :(

The worst area, where the paint has flaked just at the NS top corner of the grille

There are a couple of chips / flakes on the top, this one the worst, about 5mm dia

It will touch up fine and the current one has such a big scrape and tidy up attempt :)

Seeing if over tonight I can find another way to get it down otherwise I'll just bite the bullet and fetch it myself :D

Well after going fine for so long and only one small misfire event that was quickly cured with an OFF/ON of the igition today i was greated with this half way down the street...

" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Needless to say its now parked up outside the house awaiting some news and then a decision from me as to what to do with it.

It could well end up being broken!

That's the classic sound of a very unhappy and sick gearbox Will.. :(

If you don't drive it any further, not an inch, it'll just likely need a refurbished TC and a new oil filter and gasket set for the 'box. You may need a new TC neck bearing...

Drive it until it dies fully and the job will be much bigger...

I have a 'box and TC you can have on an exchange basis :wink:

I must say the engine bay looks very clean and tidy 8-)
