Well no more progress on the speedo front although I have fitted the dash cluster properly for now. Also got the wiring multi plugs for the cluster to compare them with mine.

The new column shroud fits well and doesn't rattle :), however, it doesn't seem to sit straight which I find very annoying!

It fits onto the two lugs on the column stalks so I'm wondering if these can be adjusted and they are not correctly positioned?

Yes.. the Colum stalks sit in a plastic housing which is secured be three screws behind the rotary connector for the radio controls.. remove the airing, uncle the rotary connector and you should see three large headed screws.. loosen these and then level the stalk assembly...
