thanks, that's the one (orange) that i have. i'm told it's the LH one. if it's as involved i'll order the blue and fit it next weekend. I'm away in Sydney next week so can only do what i can over the weekend.

went for my RWC. I told the bloke about the fluid leak before and then got knocked back for
- leaky exhaust
- hand brake out of adjustment (it's actually fine)
- 1 x interior light not working
- LHR fluid leak
- front lower control arm bushes worn
- gear box mount
- link pin bush

i haven't has a chance to look at most of these but one at a time. I cant see how 1 x interior light is a RWC fail point.

 Obviously something taken very seriously in QLD Sam... Don't let on to our MOT people or it'll become law here too...

No, I just think the bloke was having a bad day (and i was 1st car of the day). when i am back at work in my area i'll do some checking with my customers (auto workshops) and find out the test parameters and who the governing body is.

are you sure its not the cylinder corroded through were it sits through the sub frame,
i havent seen Xants do this yet but it is a common fault on BX's

any idea how much LHM the system takes? I can get AGIP LHM for less than 1/2 price than every thing else around here but meed to get it when in Brisbane (about 2 hours drive away) so wanted to pick some up when i was next down there.

Four litres will get you close; buy six and you'll have a bit spare.

Did the orange fitting (LHS) today and i think i'm going to make a tool to hold the hose to make it easer to plug them in. but as told by every one i should have waited till i could get both. broke the blue (RHS) in the process.

well all sorted now. I Thanks for the advice and i also picked up some more. use some grease on the T piece and hose before fitting. it makes it a lot easer to push the connections home.

i wouldnt use grease on any rubber conection's/pipes as it will cause the rubber to swell up and go all jelly like,

i kept the 1st one dry (as i didn't know much about the LHM system) but was told buy a Citroen specialist to use multi grease to make it easer. it did but if your right i might be replacing a lot more next time.
