I'd ask nicely if I were you - there's no doubt a tick for 'a/c working' amound the other 799,999,999 ticks in boxes... which of course as well as being a marketing tool, enables then to say:
'it was fine when it left here' (Copyright Harland & Woolf, Belfast!)
