if the warning is for fluid level pull a wire off of the reservoir lid this should put the light out,
does the reservoir lid have a small dimple in the center, if so is it protruding up out of the lid as this also would indicate there is enough fluid in the reservoir,
do these brakes look ok?

You might consider changing the wheel cylinders too whilst you're changing the shoes. Ever so cheap to replace and if they were to leak your new shoes would be ruined.
