maybe with JayA's the previous owner had altered the pump timing in the hope of sorting it out,

im sure you would not have valve damage with the crank 1 tooth out,
i have always heard the cam/crank can be out by up to 4 teeth out and still get away without damage,

I didn't realise there was one on here. Perhaps we can combine the two to provide increased coverage?
