bums

sure enough, pipe off.. fill with water and blow.. out it comes from a tiny pinhole at the rear of the flange. just made another pipe from a 406 rack.. but the unions were the short variety..

Handyman where are you with that spare rack i gave you lol?

Jim its the shorter of these.. runs between pinion vavle and ram I think. the upper of the two PV pipes.

also its the upper pipe in the pic borrowed from Kenny, earlier in the post.

thanks for letting me know Jim..

chaps, is there any other way I can repair this pipe? I don't have brazing gear.. it's only a pinhole.. guessing solder wont last long? or is the pipe something a factors could re-peen or remake?

No worries John and sorry I can't help today, however if you can wait a day or two then I can get it off to you. It's just today's events totally preclude it...

Braze would do a temporary job a treat but so might a bit of plumber's solder. It might not last for long but might just get you over this hump whilst you await a proper replacement...

Pirtek should be able to knock one up in no time and given that it's a pipe with standard flares on it so should any decent garage with the kit to replace brake lines be able to fabricate one...
