Yup, a PITA but not an impossible one...

Depending on where it's gone and if not too near the rubber bit it may well be possible to braze in a new section of pipe. I've successfully brazed before by sleeving the pipe. It really has to come off to do it though...

Else that it's off to Pirtek. Last time I bought this pipe for an Activa it cost £152.

I repaired one of these last week, thanks to a bit of advice from PLEIDES.
the ferrule on the end of the rubber section is very thick, so you saw off the metal bit, drill it and tap it out, the screw in a brake pipe flare nut with Citroen fitting. Perfect job, and quite easy really. Should last years once done.

I'd like to see you fit a flexi pipe to the rack pinion [-X

The pipe on Daves car is too far gone to use. If anyone has one or knows of one I'd appreciate it.

Cheers

This pipe has gone on my Activa now. The good news is that the mechanic thinks he's found one. The bad news is, of course, the cost.

Can't believe Citroen has deleted this part, which will send many of the late model Xantias to the scrapper. Then again...
