I have been busy this week working on the car so got a few jobs done

Replaced the head light found this to be xenon and a big job to make legal so have bought another let hope it is a normal one and I can fit it quicker this time took since xmas last time lol
Replaced rear pass light after a hit and run
Removed all the bumper trims and sanded, primed, painted and laquer looks good now took out some battle scars and another but hit and run damage from a different time
She got an oil and filter change
Sanded and painted the toe bar it was starting to look very rough being fitted since new
Adjusted the tracking to try and sort the tyre wear - possibly due to my spirited cornering style
Removed what was left of the engine tray I had her up a farm track and lost about half of it. Then cable tied the bumper bottom and arch liners so everything is solid under there again, aren't cable ties just great.
Fitted the aero wipers I got a while back I can see in the rain again

Next job giver her a good wash, hoover and interior clean then start thinking about painting the wheels, sourcing a shark fin aerial, swap out headlight when it arrives and keepy my eye out for either a new drivers seat or a leather interior

Those last 3 posts made me smile, it's very much a love/hate relationship with your C5 isn't it!

ok been a bit and I still have her so a brief update

head light has been swapped for xenon and then swapped again for a standard light but this had had a prob with the indicator not working as it was not making proper connection to the bulb holder but managed to fix this well so far by adjusting the the holder

engine tray disapeared on a country track at work and what was left removed and skipped

she got an oil and filter change and reset the clock

divers seat fell through as was looking at one on ebay but seller just didnt feel right taking far too long to reply to emails and a bit cagy about details so thought leave it another will come along

resprayed all the the bumper trims then reversed into a lamp post in the rain at night a week latter need to redo this again :(

at the min the prob is the rear end creaking at speed bumps which could be the rear arm bearings but need to look into full arm as cant fit bearings myself and an arm is prob ok at 209k depending on cost

seen this on ebay and has got me thinking about the wheels again

need to get my finger out and get spraying I think it looks good

also thinking about
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Citroen-Stubb ... 0166468086" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
to tidy up the lines and the bent aerial on the roof but any ideas about loss of radio???

I have heard reports of C5 wheel arch liners dissapearing after having the engine tray removed, as that holds the wheel arch liners in place. At high speed they must get blown back onto the tyre and smash into a million bits.

That is unlucky about the bumper mishap, especially just after you have painted it. :(

I bought one of those roof ariels a few years ago, they look very smart and fit perfectly, however the radio signal is pretty awful. It only lasted about a week on my car.

The wheel liners are now well zip tied in place they were flapping around at low speeds so sorted double quick

Today noticed a lovely scratch in the rear bumper corner that some caring driver had done so will need to get it all off and sprayed up again plenty of paint left so not a big prob but does p**s you off

Well got the aerial on order now so will see how she goes if not great will swap back again

its a creamy grey colour velour keep meaning to take a pic of it but just dont seem to get round to it

replaced the number plate screws as they ahd rusted and lost their caps looks soo much better, got her washed and polished up the bonnet and now the weird scratches as if someone has taken a brillo pad to it have nearly all gone starting to get some love for her but she is starting to hate me as the back end clonking looks like a burst gaitor which has caused the problem oh well

Well this week she hit 210,000 miles so to mark it she got a fill of diesel and a trip to the car wash. I also took a stab at sorting the dodgy arm rests passenger side works better drivers needs some more work. Still to fit my mini aerial as current one rusted in place :(
