If your at CXM i will let you take mine out Richard.
That 3l V6 Activa that was there last year would be a lovely tool, i gather it was pricy to build but then you have to factor in the fact it will hold its value too, that and you get a V6 under the bonnet and as we all know a nasp engine is always going to be better than a Turbo of similar output plus you get a nice soundtrack.

Go to Mainland Europe and buy a Left Hooker V6 Activa. Save a fortune and a lot of trouble.

yeah but resale over here for a left hooker wont be as good as a r/h i wouldn of thought but yeah it would be a much cheaper option and you get a car that has not been fiddled with, still a V6 activa with the wheel on the right side would be my first choice.

That V6 Activa you linked to (this one) is interesting, as its a V6 but with a normal front bumper and what appears to be the norman front wings too. I thought only the 2.0 16v Activas had the normal front end. Its leather seats are not the heavily bolstered Activa leathers either.

What is more interesting to me is its tyres, it looks to have a lower profile tyre than standard, but I would really like to know what size they are. Mainly because its wearing Uniroyal RainSport IIs and they are pretty superb, you can get a host of good tyres in the sizes they come in. It does look a bit under-tyred though, but im sure that would grip a lot better due to the tyre having less sidewall to roll onto, less tyre flex and them being good tyres.

I bet the speedo over-reads a little

To me those look like V6 wings, not the anemic narrow ones  It is possible that the leather in that car has been retrofitted, most French-delivered Mk1 Activa V6s had Alacantra seats. On the other hand, I can't recall ever seeing an Activa V6 with leather with the big bolsters. Maybe they had dropped them by the time the V6s came along.

Ah, so perhaps just the bumper has been changed for a normal type.

You can get Activas of all ages with the bolstered seats, so perhaps it is a retrofit interior :)

205/50/15 hey, ill have a look at what tyres come in that size, though I doubt ill deviate from the standard 205/60/15s.

Edit: I think your right about the tyre size Robert, you can indeed get the RainsportIIs in that size. In fact its a much better size as it offers a much better selection of tyres than the 60 size. 50 profile must really effect the speedo though?

No idea on the Speedo Chris. The sinker is meant to have that size of tyres. My VSX TD from last year also had 50 profile tyres.

That is interesting, I didn't realise it was a standard size on some models.
