From looking at various 406 threads, it should work (with the connections above), and give the functions:
Miles since reset
Instantaneous MPG
MPG average since reset
Fuel range remaining
and temperature if you connect a thermistor

Yes.
This is the wiring that I used. Many of the connections can be made on another place - pin 1 to 5 can all be taken from the dashboard (Not sure about the pins but I think they should exist there)

Just installed the CC stalk and button. Enabled it from LEXIA. Driving home after work will be the moment of truth :)

For the trip computer, be careful. There are two types of display. One of them is only with a temperature display. You need he one with 2 light bulbs, two raw connector and 4 position switch on the side.

My guess is it wont work.. you will need to bridge the clutch pedal connection and possibly brake pedal unless the ecu uses the brake light wires instead...

I have made all the connections according to the Peugeot schematic, but it didn't work :)
No connections were checked after making them, so there might be an error somewhere.
The clutch is already connected to the ECU. The primary brake switch also. Only the NC brake switch and the three wires from the stalk were missing.
I made the NC brake switch with relay to the primary brake switch.
Just need to check everything tomorrow.

EDIT:
One problem found - no positive signal to the relay :)
Fix will be performed at lunch time.

EDIT2:
Fixed.
Test after a few hours... Can't wait... :)

AND IT WORKS!!! :)
A button, stalk, 4 wires, one relay and LEXIA is all that you need. :) But you need to have that possibility in the HDI ECU.

On the left side of the steering wheel there should be a yellow plug with 4 pins. It is for the switch.
The plug for the stalk was on the right up side behind the transponder and ignition switch. It was in а foam, brown with 5 pins.
If you can not find them, you can check between the front seats under the back window buttons. I have a big 15 pin plug for CC module which is used on petrol engines.

If you do not have it, may be you don't have CC wiring and you need to make it.

This is the place where the wires from the stalk connector go. I just soldier 3 wires next the the stalk plug for the three switches and send them to the ECU (see the schematic). The other 2 pins on the stalk plug are connected to the button just as on the 406 schematic, so no change was made there.

The forth wire and the relay are for the normal closed brake switch - 7308 on the schematic.
This is how it is connected to the brake pedal. (sorry for the ugly picture but no time for better :) )
