Hi Guys,
Will phone the company today or tomorrow to find exactly what they cover and if it is the full length pipe.

If it is I'll post a link for anybody else interested.

Kenny
35 quid, for both sides? :-k

Sounds better! although why would s/s need a pvc coat?!

If I can't find a better solution I'm definatelly interested, cheers Kenny :)

Oh and cheers RichardW,

note to self, check forum more often!

Maybe it's time all the OSR brake pipes are going, more dumbass double posts like meself

Like when all the in tank fuel pumps died, then the crank pulleys, etc etc, maybe all cit components die at a certain age

trouble is the old girl's not given me much grief for a while, just fuel up and go :P

I will be on more often from now on..pwomise :P

Fine for a car with conventional hydraulics but for a Xantia, no. The flares cannot be made with the tool pictured and the unions and pipe are both incorrect for a Xantia (or any other hydraulic Citroen).

JIm,

Where do you get the correct piping etc from?

I have sent a 2nd e mail to this company with no reply and there is a message stating they are out of the office, send an e mail :? .

They've been out of office for 3 days now

Possible problem saver. Maybe worth a mention on forum site or if any members have used this person report back.

£10 / m - and the long one is over 2m so it's quite dear (maybe - no idea not bought any for nearly 10 years!). Give Pleaides a call (possibly 01487 831239) and have a chat with Martin (who posts here occasionally) - what he doesn't know about Cit hydraulics is probably not worth knowing.

There are (or were) a couple of Cit indies in Edinburgh (one down the back of Leith Walk my sister used to go to - Citroen Service, 19-21 Arthur Street, 0131 554 4141), and there is a place in Rutherglen, and Graham Harper off Argyll Street in Glasgow, all of whom should be geared up to make new Cit pipes.

I wouldn't bother with SS ones for the rear brakes, fot the same reason I wouldn't bother with steel - they'll be a git to fit!

That's a good find Kenny :-D

Really the only alternatives are the like of Pleiades (as Richard says) or going out and spending an arm and several legs on the tooling to do them yourself...

See what I mean about them being expensive :(

firstly hydraulic citroens don't use 3/16th kunifer amnd secondly you would have hour's of fun trying to create a hydraulic citroen flair with that crappy flairing tool,

you would be hard pressed to create a decent conventional flair either      [-X [-X :^o :^o

Thanks Guys,

Once repaired I'm thinking to buy my own flairing tools and piping

Richard, I bought my current Xantia from the brother of the owner of citroen services in Arthur street and it was them that service the vehicle for the previous owner. I have occasionally sought advice from them as well as shuggy who runs a small independent in PItt Street ( over 20 yeasr with Citroen before venturing on his own).

He lived in Plockton and drove the car down for its services :!:

All the suspension pipes were renewed just prior to me buying it. =D>

I wish they had done the brakes as well. The lovely North west coast of Scotland sea air has a lot to answer for

i thought that was strange too as the width of the rear sub frame should be the same, and they start and terminate at the same point/s,
