Pleased the LagIII is still impressing you Mark.

We used to use Lassa tyres on our XMs at one point, as the local garage sweared by them and sold them to us on the knowledge they were old Bridgestone patterns. I'm not sure about that but I'm sure they will be ok and a goo dbit cheaper than the Dunlops.

The tyre fitter was saying that they are the budget range of Bridgestone, I'll report back how they perform.

The Laguna is a really elegant estate. I have not heard of any turbo problems with these yet?

Vel Satis has auto adaptive cruise with radar........I have never even turned it on I am still using toe clips on the loud pedal

The more current Renault diesels do seem to have improved quite a bit (wasn't too difficult was!) and the 2.0DCi gets pretty good user reviews.

I've got to say, I don't notice many LagunaIIs now and when I do they are usually petrols.

Just to update on the new front tyres fitted recently, the grip is on par with the previous Dunlops but there is a slight increase in tyre noise but overall very impressed for the price. Next up will be to replace the Toyos that are on the Zx as they are cracking around the edges, I'm not sure on replacements yet but uniroyal or continental will be on the list.

Nothing to report on the Laguna it just does its job extremely well, it really is a shame that the Laguna 2 got such a bad rep these laguna 3's are in a different league and deserved to have sold better. A great used buy in my book, the coupe looks stunning .

Another small update on the Laguna, well there would be if there was something to update but it does nothing wrong so I guess it's next job will be it's spring clean, so watch this space .

I wish I had a car now which is as reliable as your laguna Mark. Even the c4 wasn't, had a goosed wheelbearing and juddering clutch when it went away, the c2 is parked and wont be looked at for 2 weeks and the freelander has developed a blow in the exhaust ant EML is on. It's never ending.

Sorry to hear about your car troubles Davie , as I've reported before this laguna 3 has been one of the best cars I've owned, it's a massive step up over the laguna 2 and for what you can pick one up for their amazing value. To get the performance and equipment in a later C5 you would be looking at alot more money, not to mention the laguna is a nicer looking car.
