Would be interested to know how the different engine designs make this the case... what usually happens when a 2.1 and HDi break their belts?

The 2.1 and Hdi have rocker fingers under the cam so the fingers break instead.. they don't bend valves so its not a head off job to repair.. just a cam carrier and cam shaft out...
