Yes please Jim,, I think in this case it would be good... what does also confuse me is theres a metal low pressure return at 3.5mm thats a union at the rear and a push fit to rubber at the front.. i only know this from cars ive removed pipework from in the past...

Cheers jim

that's simply a high flow line from the height corrector, so when going from high to med all the excess fluid (not leak off) comes down that line, if it were to go down the normal leakoff pipes with their push fit connections it could have popped them off (that close to the HC anyway)

Re: Xantia SINKER: Rear suspension MAIN Feed SHE RISES AGAIN

Post by citroenxm »

Hi Helpers..

I got to this today, and suddenly remembered the High pressure return pipe from the rear - the subject of this post - being the ruptured pipe actually connects to one of the FOUR "Manifold" Joins just below the LHM tank, on the firewall...

So today, after worrying the pipe was to short, it turned out to be toooooooo long... so I need to loose a bit at the rear subframe area.. Anyway. All connected up today opend the regulator and ran the engine for a moment or two, to bleed any air, which there was none, closed the regulator and all well, system pressure and she stood up on all fours.

Need to return to tidy up and secure any loose pipes...

THANK YOU to all advice, and to Jim for the Diagrams!!

She may live on for a little longer...

Regards
Paul
