Have you checked that you are getting maximum out of the throttle sensor.
On my 2.2 when I first had it the cable had stretched so much that even with the pedal to the floor the throttle sensor (pot) still had a way to go, was much better after adjustment :-)

Unfortunately it's not so easy to get at and means taking the injector ECU out to get at it.

Thanks very much to David H for the Lexia Diagnostic. Excellent piece of equipment. Came up with -

Here's the faults and the tests that we've carried out tonight:

permanent fault - fuel filler cap sensor signal

permanent fault - inlet air temperature signal. CAN value not possible.
permanent fault - flowmeter signal. Short circuit to earth or open circuit flow too low

exhaust gas recycling valve electrovalve - OK
exhaust gas recycling throttle valve - OK
swirl throttle electrovalve - OK
turbo charger pressure solenoid valve - OK
additive pump working OK
additive injector working OK
eolys fluid counter reset
measured air flow @ 4000rpm was 500mg/cp
measured air flow @ 2500rpm was 595mg/cp

Car still running underpowered and will not rev past 4000rpm.

Any ideas anyone?

Have you tried a new MAF sensor? I believe the inlet temperature sensor and flowmeter signal faults are related to a duff MAF sensor, from memory on this forum use a genuine item as I believe spurious ones are unreliable.

With the Eolys fluid counter reset you mention, was it reset and if so to what?

Agreed - those results do indicate a MAF fault.
I had similar symptoms a while back and replacing the MAF made a very impressive difference.

Not relevant to your current fault but note also the filler cap sensor, lack of this means that the Eolys will not get injected into the fuel, which means sooner rather than later the FAP will choke up with unburnt carbon.

Note do not assume that because it says that the electro valves are working that the bits that are attached e.g swirl valves are working properly, e.g you could have a total lack of vacuum it will still report that all the EV's are o.k but swirl valves, egr, turbo etc will not be working. Though with total vacuum loss you would have no brakes and turbo overboost.

Ok guys,

Have just tried a new MAF and the car is still underpowered and lumpy , will not rev past 3500 revs.

Comes up with anti-pollution fault and espr not working.

Any more ideas?
