Hi Jim

I happen to have an XM drivers seat mounted on an Xantia base.
All three movement direction functions work.
I put it together for LD down in Poole but have not yet got round to delivering it and checking that it gives full travel when fitted.
No welding or cutting as both seat types use the same size and position of mounting bolts between base and seat frame.
Much help from Paul (pointing out it was possible) and Robert (photos of Xantia seat construction).

I just found a Nissens heater matrix on eBay

Clicky

Nissens coolant radiators were highly rated on pug306.net, has anyone tried one of their heater matrix's? Although a Valeo one can be found cheaper than that...

I brought in four Nissens, sold three and have one to fit in my break. Happy to furnish detail pics of the crimping etc if requested.

FWIW my 405's original Valeo heater core corroded at the end flange, but it was a scant weep. Hardening and ultimate cracking of the O-rings was accelerated by a BHG.

Here you are; comparison Valeo unit is June '90 Peugeot 405:

The Nissens one is clearly of a different manufacture. Fins are coarser spaced, and top cover not so nicely detailed.

Hi,
Correct me if I am wrong, but didn't the Bx have a matrix where all you had to do was remove the bottom steering link, loosen 2 jubilee clips, a couple of self tappers, and pull it out from drivers side of heater box ???. Now just designed (???) to make things as difficult as possible. One could change a clutch on a cavalier 2 in under an hour, poxy Vauxy soon put a stop to that- now same as all the rest.

It's called progress Greg

I believe that was the case with the BX as it is with the XM... The Pug 205 was the same. A matrix was about 20 minutes work once you'd done a couple...
