deano have you gone the route of actually asking if they will take the item back for a restocking fee.
I assume you have details of where it came from,contact them direct and ask.

The other part I'm not comfortable with, is that "fuel system cleaner" type products usually offer a fairly shallow/shortlived fix. Prolonged use may create longer lasting benefits, but the cost of this probably exceeds £110!

In other words, presuming the fault was diagnosed on a Lexia - and not a generic scanner which may have misrepresented the code - then the part may yet be needed.

The garage I work hand-in-glove with, has cost me plenty. They've dinged my best car, cocked up a damper install on another which threw the aux belt, bent the bonnet on yet another one, left wheel nuts loose on my Xantia and made parts offers they didn't follow through - yet the reality is, I'm still fiscally ahead in working with them. Perhaps the same applies here?
