Hi, I think I may have got the problem solved. I have replaced my nearly worn (just before the warning sensor probes)brake pads. Maybe as train of thought goes, the extended brake piston was letting fluid past and causing the peddle to pulsate? Who knows?

That is HIGHLY unlikely Paul -
It's more likely that to fit the new pads - you pressed in the caliper piston - which in turn pressed out some air from the caliper [:p]

Anders would the same effect produce regular brake bleeding?

No - you would not have a regular brake bleeding by pressing in the piston. The air will collect at highest point in the caliper - which is under the bleed screw.
But if you have much air in the caliper - some will be returned by pressing in the piston.
