wow we all like the same stuff I had a Rover 2000, one of my early cars cost 200 quid! thirsty auto... then came the P6 V8s even more thirsty.. drove one of the v8's, 10 miles home using a towel soaked in petrol when the fuel pump gave out in the sticks.... Risky... nah not much
I won't shout too loud but I work for a company supplying Lunar and we get a mention on their website
I think my new ride could pull your van easy hehehe

NIce Wing - I couldn't pick one up these days if it toppled , test rode a Mk1 when they were new - Honda pitched into the marketplace as a Sportsbike against their own CBX !
Bx looks good too - don't see many on the roads these days ?
Sold our last Bx cos' we bought a heavy Caravan , what I should have done is sell the Caravan , buy a lighter one , and keep the Bx .

I sold my neighbour his 1988 GL1500 when they were new and I worked in the bike trade. I bought the wing looking for a CBXDippy wrote:NIce Wing - I couldn't pick one up these days if it toppled , test rode a Mk1 when they were new - Honda pitched into the marketplace as a Sportsbike against their own CBX !

Got a few others too a bit lighter though the wing weighs close on 900lb, the Bandit and Picasso are the wife's and the Rover is my eldest sons
The wing has done 6500 miles, I bought it as a project in March this year was stood 10 years before being re commissioned for 15 miles then stood again for another 10 years till I bought it. Only ever taxed once for 6 months.. The Bx was an ebay special 8 years ago with 27k on it now done 90 and is my daily runner
nearly as nice as the CX

Great stuff guys. My P6's were a 200Osc ( 38mpg on a run) and the V8S. This was a manual with police spec camshaft. Everything on those cars shut with solid thunk..........and bolted apart. The bumps on the road were soaked up a la Citroen.
Has there ever been a better LD touring bike concept than the Flat Four Wing?
I used to drool after the first ones in a deep red colour. My budget only stretched to the CB 500T with it's banana type seat and BSA style exhaust The poor mans tourer before the VT CX
What a poor summer for bikers this year What a tasteful collection CGAT

I got the k75 from the same place as the wing.. it was inthe back for 10 years too. was showing 4994 miles, it's now do 6,000 miles yup 6,000 not 60,000 I started to use it to comute 60mpg and I'm slowly adapting to the rain and as it gets really cold I may use the BX again.Dippy wrote: Grab yer nadgers and squeeze old luv , but we are not , repeat not - supposed to enjoy velocipedes in the U.K !

The gent I sold the 1988 GL1500 to, still has a Stunning 1975/76 GL1000... It has a CX2000 radiator hose adapted as a temporary repair that was 12 years back! still running today. He's over 70, he rides that and LC350, 1950's BMW fitted with a Grommit type side car and has CB1000F.
My eldest son likes to trick his things too, this was his Aprillia RS50 / 80cc moped .
the 75 runs sweet being a triple, I had to use a CX fuel pump to get it started the first time, it's basically the same Ljetronic injection
and the wing is whisper quiet this is with all the cover off when I did the cam belts

nooo, no divorce. These things are ULTRA clean before assembly. Plus the missus works shifts and I can get away with it The CX gearbox was done there too.
