Apparently the calipers have buckled and the corrossion jas made them bow apart. Onr alao has a chunk missing.

And to think I've been on mountain roads for long drives tese days!
C'est pas possible!

£385 for discs, pads, calipers and coolant temp guage. Phew! They have reduced labour costs.


Few faults still but just hoping this thing holds together now. It needs to.

Anyone suspect the rear-arm bearings. I'm told they have been giving trouble after 100.000K on C5s

A split ABS reluctor ring will make the brake bang on and off, the rust gets behind them and they split then instead of being fixed in place they rotate back and forth.

Wasn't trailing arm bearings was buggered calipers. Had bearings replaced on other car. Not the same.

Thing is garage was surprised as even tho the calipers had big chunks falling off the suppliers wanted them for re conditioning. I got new ones.
