It is a known problem when taking photos of highly reflective objects. If your camera will let you, try using manual focussing. Auto-focus is confused by mirrors, etc.

I did have a polarising filter on my old camera's (Canon) lenses that was very good for shifting shadows and light however I've yet to get around to getting one for my new lenses due to the different sizes... Need to get around to that... Also it wasn't the best location due to being on tarmac with grass next to it reflecting the green onto the car...

I've just ordered a timing belt and waterpump for the Zx yesterday from a local motor factors and I will be hopefully getting them fitted in a couple of weeks by a Citroen specialist , there may even be a stainless exhaust going on too soon so fingers crossed for that as I've been wanting to get one for a while now . When I get time I will also be getting the machine polisher out and seeing if I can improve the paint condition as there are a quite a few swirls that need attention .

Be careful with a stainless steel system if you enjoy peace and quiet Mark. Sometime they’re as lot noisier and can boom a bit due to being made of thinner material...

Still, at least with a good SS system it's fit one and then it's there for life :)

Thanks for that Jim I will certainly bear it in mind , there's two companies in Sheffield who do custom exhausts so I will definetly get plenty of info before it's fitted . I've had a stainless cat back system on both of the doblos I've had , the first one used to fly . I'm not a noisy exhaust type myself , there's nothing more annoying , or is it just an age thing  .

I think it's an age thing Mark    The couple who are buying my house tomorrow said to me ooooo you have a sporty car, it sounds good.............if only thy knew the exhaust is broken right through, and it only has one little silencer instead of two! New exhaust should be ordered soon, getting a bit fed up of the noise now, although it's quieter than my son-in-laws Fiesta st, and he has a brand new exhaust on it. He asked for noisy though. Don't know what I'll be offered yet, the only thing I have decided is that I will have twin round exits like Fake Concerns one. That looks just how it should do!

The C4 does look good with the twin tailpipes , I'm going to go down to the exhaust specialist and he will advise etc , a full system is around £350 and a stainless backbox £185 .

With the stainless exhaust, as you say take their advice. I wanted mine to sound pretty standard (yes, age thing), but when first fitted, I thought it was much too noisy. However, they did know what they were talking about as after a couple of weeks or so it really got much quieter, I suppose carbon has built up in it. Now it is just a bit growly at low revs & on over run, which I'm very happy with.
Funnily enough, I used a machine polisher for the first time last weekend. I'm not brave enough for proper correction just yet, but really pleased with the improvement in any case!

Is it bad that at 21 I also cringe at the thought of a noisier than standard exhaust?

I had the Xantia in getting the exhaust sorted and he suggested a perfomance exhaust because the car will be pretty much silent when the repair was done. Needless to say I declined and am enjoying the effortless purr and silence of the V6 :)

The Avantime has a custom exhaust on it. Everyone who rides in it comments on what an amazing exhaust note it has.... I wish it was quieter!!

Good luck with the belt and pump change Mark. I was speaking to a guy today with 5 ZX 16vs!
