Must be me, I must be loosing it  After all, it took me all day yesterday and part of today to service the V6, take off the HP pump, alternator and AC Compressor, reseal the pump, clean up the alternator, install new flexi hoses and put it all back together..

I reckon you would have had all that lot done in say, a couple of hours?

Flooz, I believe it's the sensor in picture 2. If you can get a clearer picture of that I'll be able to explain better.

Look under the Lexia locations thread, there might be a member near you with a Lexia who can confirm which sensor it is!

David.
I see that Chris56000 is only about a mile from my house (how come I didn't know that!!) I am going to change the temp. sensor adjacent to the airbox tomorrow and if it still plays up I may get in touch with Chris56000.

Cheers for your guidance Gentlemen

The pushpins on the map are deliberately vague - don't imagine that that is exactly where Chris is located.

All.
It would seem that there are three temp. sensors in the area that David is referring to. Would a Lexia be able to identify which sensor or just identify a temp sensor fault? I obtained the info. off Citroen Service AC

Yes,

Green is the ECU temperature sensor, Brown is the Bitron for fans and A/C and blue is the coolant over-temperature warning light sender..

Only the green one is relevant in this context...

Hi Flooz,

When I did ours I just took the pipe work off the airbox, lifted the airbox straight out, got an open ended spanner on the sensor, cracked it, unscrewed it by hand and changed it.

Took around 10 - 15 mins at most from start to finish.

Hi All.

Swapped out the sensor... must be the easiest one to do on the V6, I hope it cures the problem.

Nice work and research. I might put one on. I have a hesitation........ ie semi stall when cold on brisk take off. Fine when warmed up.

Yep sounds similar to mine... sometimes could just keep it going, othertimes would cut completely.. difficult to dip the clutch and give it a rev on an automatic :)

Just seen this now.

Glad to see it seems to have cured the problem.
