Brake Spring mod

It's only fitted on RHD Xantias AFAIK - LHD variants do without!

I've driven close on 200k in Xantias since Oct 2002 and had no real trouble with the brakes. Maybe I'll try 'the mod' and see!

and the spring in question is indside No. 3 and not the spring No. 5 in the drawing

Do you just pull the pedal up and pop it out? Or is it more involved?

yes, unclip the pedal switch plug to allow the pedal to swing further back towards you and lever the assembly number 3 in the parts diagram out with a screwdriver carefully.
Once in your hand you will see how it comes apart to get the spring out Toby
