That'd add a bit of spice and make the proceedings more surreal though
wouldn't you say? Perfect for French car motoring plus we'll all learn that
little bit of French spannering lingo which may one day be crucial? No?

I'm sure the French for "have you removed your brake spring ?" will prove extraordinarily useful Andrew...

You never know, in French everyday language it might even be rude....

I didn't like the original brakes with spring,
I didn't like the brakes with the spring replace with a solid tube.
I do like the brakes with the original spring pre-tensioned with a 3mm spacer (inside the plastic housing),
but I may be in a minority of one here.

Not quite...

That bears out my findings. I've tried the spring mod on every Xantia I've owned and one (can't recall which now, except that I no longer have it) did not feel quite right springless and I ended up putting the spring back in.

I've never tried pre-loading the spring though - that has to be worth an experiment or two...

Ok, let me get this straight...

This said spring, assuming its only on MK2 cars? So removing this so called coil of metal will give me MK1 style braking?!?!?

Share the instructions guys!!!

Oh, question is tho, how hard is it to do?

It's fittied on all Xantiae - removal will give you more immediate linear brake
application as per older more direct brakes Citroen. Try it, you may like it!
