xantia heater matrix pipe re fit

No... Its only the seals causing the tightness....

Can it work to put the seals in the shoulders of the matrix neck ? as i am having no luck at all trieing to get the pipe into the matrix.

Hi Mike,

With mine I found it helped to put the o ring onto the pipe, but not all the way, lubricate with grease and gently but firmly ease it home. You will know when it's on because you will hear or feel the retaining clip click over.

Hope this helps. If your having to force it there is something out of line. It might be worth stepping back and trying a different angle. Remember the pipe or your new matrix can break if you are heavy handed.

That's what worked for me, are you using new seals as they do tend to swell with age which makes them twist etc.

I have new seals ! I just cant get over how tight it is, I have pushed the hardest i can i have had a friend try too but no luck :evil:
I am so close to finishing this awful job !!!
