Been harpooned by the neighbours when opening the garage door, so the bolt measuring missed its turn … until tomorrow.
I only have a metal measuring tape, so will only be able to measure to within 1 mm, close enough to compare.

Bolt top to washer is between 6 and 7 mm, closer to 6 mm.
Bolt top to caliper at the outside of the washer is between 8 and 9 mm, about halfway.

Looks like we have optical illusions, or wishful ‘seeing’.
Pictures of my own caliper, those above are from Planète Citroën.

It is rather strange - yours do look shallower and of a greater diameter than mine but mine are 16mm same as yours.
Must be the light in Australia :?

I’ll blame the camera.
If you’re willing to believe it, it’s a Sony Mavica with floppy discs.
I took it out of a rubbish bin at work years ago and tarted it up.

The pictures were taken at a 90 degree angle, so the height of the pictures is the width of the camera and it makes photos that are noticeably too wide.

Pictures of my Xantia make an unusually sleek car.

Very strange - does it perform some sort of compensation on the image to make it "Widescreen" ?

I took some photos of my "spare" bolts, the markings seem identical to yours.

"Widescreen" ?
It only has the 3 by 4 format with no other possibilities.
The picture is wide because the camera is either dodgy or they just were like that back then in 1998.
That’s why my wheels are oval.
