Tuesday 17th April 2012 - what a day!

Had my first EVER drive in a 3.5 V6 Vel Satis. Words just can't express the experience. I have missed driving these cars beyond belief; the raised seating position, the comfort, the technology - they really are like nothing else. And this one used the right fuel!! What. a. car. An unbelievable engine. I have to have one, and soon

Haha love how your post ended up looking, Robert! I'll give you that. But the 3.5 V6 is far superior. The difference is a lot more measurable than I thought it would be, and the noise......

Yes Chris, my dream trio was realised, no doubt about it!

You'll love it Robert, I can just see it sitting there... the Rover will have to go, it's nowhere near polluting enough to warrant being a permanent resident!

I'd be more than happy to give an 827 a home. This 2.0 manual is just miserable though :x

Well the thirst for more V6 power got me.

Another car off the list, and I'm sure it'll be a permanent resident. Blasting up to Manchester in the Vel Satis for it this evening. The Rover really HAS to go now... anyone fancy a J reg Fastback?

That does look very nice Luke, if it were a manual I'd like it even more!

I hope you find it to be a good one, if the weather in Manchester is anything like the weather here then its far from ideal car buying conditions

Alas, it is not. Renault cleverly made it looks like a manual. It's a tiptronic auto.

... And what a car it is! I'm so used to Laguna IIs having the character of a weedy 1.8 petrol. Pressing the start button and getting a roar has made me love this car even more. Plus it has NONE of the usual little Laguna niggles. All electric windows work, all tyre pressure sensors, the climate display backlight and those bucket seats haven't worn at all! Over the moon with it. The icing on the cake was 38 MPG from Manchester to Birningham :)

Ahh, that's nice Luke :-D

Great MPG too, who needs a diesel when you can have economy like that and all the joy of a V6? Perfect :-D

Thanks Jim. The V6 is something else. Forgot to mention full service history as well!

Aw KP I didn't even think! It was Ashton-Under-Lyne. We blasted up in the Vel Satis last night. I came over in the Meg last week, I have a compulsory uni field trip in Sussex for a week, heading down tomorrow, then it's back to Belfast. I didn't plan on buying anything but it came up on eBay and was too good to miss. Now I have to fly over again a week or so after I get back to bring home whatever I leave behind! A transporter wouldn't have been a bad idea!
