Luke, as I continiously tell people, if you want a 4X4 thing, stop pissing about, and get a Range Rover.

And stop pissing about with V6s, get a 4.6 V8 HSE Range Rover, a tweed jacket, a spaniel and a shot gun :-D

Those are Range Rover Classics, 3.5 V8 in such an early shape - later ones being a 3.9 and the LSE is a 4.2? Nice though :D

this is very nice

This is the shape my mum had, a very late Classic V8 Vogue SE. It was a nice car. Its what my sister used for a good few months after passing her driving test, I was jealous

I also quite like the P38 version, which is the 4.6 HSE model

Image

Now those are proper 4x4s, not a tacky plastic Santa Fe!

We almost replaced the Classic with a diesel P38, it wasnt a good combination so got an Renault RX4 instead :?

I'm a big fan of Range Rovers.

I love the classics, this would be my ideal Range Rover classic - Mustard, 3 door, with the steel rims.

The LSE classics are fantastic as well, the CX Prestige of Range Rovers.

I like the P38s as well. I can't justify/afford one, but I would like one. a TD Auto would have to be the one, or a LPG'd V8 if I wasn't doing much driving.

You have got me thinking Chris, P38 RR or S80????

Haha what a great response! Puts the madness these exams have created within me into perspective, the Santa Fe seems a well hated car!

Chris you hit the nail bang on the head - I have a fetish for a crap V6 going at the minute, and I don't know why :(

Robert, great image! The Santa Fe wouldn't exactly fit in the with pheasant shooters.

Tomorrow is the day, Robert!

Chipping in with my picture of what happens when Range Rovers go wrong:

P38 RR V8 or a S80, difficult choice! Id go with the S80, I like 4x4s but only if there is a need for one.

I didnt like the diesel P38 we tried, id stick with the V8. Mind at 10MPG around the town the fuel costs do get noticeable.

Hmm, that range rover doesnt look too happy!

Those are starting to make for great bargains in V8 shape too, If any justification is needed, just say you needed a heated steering wheel for the winter 8-)

The 2.5 TD unit is probably a bit underpowered for the RR. But its the only one that I could run.

Still the S80, would be better made, more reliable, and its a car, so cheaper car sized tyres and other bits and bobs. All tainted by Ford somewhere along the line.

I recognise that road :)

Whats up with the L322??

Im looking into get a RR TD6 registered before the 2006 tax cut off line but they are few and far between and i'll have to wait until summer anyway, prices will take a bigger dip by then so get more bang for my buck as looking for a VOGUE SE with LR RSE fitted and not the rubbish units that aren't in the headrests or roof mounted as having two kids the headrest version is much better and after the D4 HSE i've fallen in loved with the HK sound systems in LR's :D

This is how P38's end up mostly these days :)
http://www.youtube.com/user/superronnie ... DJ7Sd5LUl0

I'd love the V8 or V8S units but the fuel, even on LPG is just ridiculous and the insurance is higher as they are the more nicked units that are then shipped off out of the country never to be seen again :(

Do you see many L322's go through your old work Luke?
