Depends on the BX the spheres you have were for as everything
else could be made to match although replacements from GSF will
cost the same as a regass:

sphere chart pdf here:

http://cx.podolsk.ru/xm/docum/citroen_kule.pdf

It shows hydropneumatic Xant

fronts: vol 400 / pressure 70bar / jet 1.65
rears: vol 400 / pressure 40bar / jet 1.1

BX 19TD 19GTi
fronts: vol 400 / pressure 55bar / jet 1.65
rears: vol 400 / pressure 40bar / jet 1.1

BX 17/19D
fronts: vol 500 / pressure 55bar / jet 1.8

My sympathies one and all. We've had pig flu, or whatever for four weeks, and the after effects are almost as bad as the original infection.

The b*gger of it is, the damn thing seems to go away and then comes back a day or two later to bite us in the backside again.

Yep, I've been blighted with this pig awful lurgy since the second week
of December.

I'm out in all weathers several times a day walking my dogs and am fit but
the thing is, the Central Heating boiler packed with imperfect timing over the
freeze/snow during the Christmas break and I took the full dose off everyone
at work - practically closed down the small 8 man team company I work in.

Only saw it off fully (after it kept reproving) on Monday this week!!!

Andrew, yep, much the same here. Got three dogs, often out across the fields with them; work at home in my home office in similar field to you, but little grandson brought it into the house.

He suffered a couple of days and us? We're still unable to shake it off.

Had that many vitamin pills we rattle when we turn over in bed!

Andrew, thanks for the information.

I hope you're getting over the pig flu. This is a real nasty one.

There's a chap about my age in our local builders merchants, know him quite well. Saw him the other day for the first time in weeks and he's lost a hell of a lot of weight, and gone mostly grey too. And that in a few weeks of this flu.

I really do appreciate the help and advice offered so freely on FCF.

Having said that, may I ask a couple more questions?

We're getting around 40-43, best estimate so far. Is this around what you'd expect for a 1.8 16v running mostly on C and B roads?

Also, as said earlier in this thread, she is a little high at the front. Is there anything other than changing spheres to correct this problem?

40-43MPG for a 1.8 petrol is excellent really, i wouldn't have thought it would be averaging such good economy.

The front sits high either because the hight corrector is sticking or the front height needs setting down. Changing the spheres wont help its ride height, just make it ride softer.

Just reading up on the height corrector, I see it can't be replaced.

I have a new one given me with a BX some while ago. Is it likely to be the same?

You can fix the front ride height by loosening the clamp on the anti-roll bar under the car..

Very slight adjustments make a massive differance
