I can see why they have done it!

It's because the S1 Xantia is an incredible piece of design. Subtle, understated yet very sleek. Not as sleek as an XM, mind!

Problem is that you can't improve on an excellent design.

I think it's the headlights on the S1 Xantia that are so attractive. They are long and low. Compare them to a 940 Volvo of the same year.
