Baby Stig? Girl Stig? If it's Girl Stig, you never know, it might just be Vicky Butler-Henderson. That works for me...

I'm almost priapic with anticipation.....

Now thats a nice thought!

I went to the topgear live thing back in November at the NEC, they did a little video about a new stig and there was a stig at the performance, though could be something totally different.

They showed a farm where they breed stigs, some turn out bad, others good great at some things but only one turns out to be a good driver!

I wonder if thats similar to what is going to be shown ...

Im looking forward to it, always entertaining viewing, just what you need on a Sunday evening!

Which reminds me of another of that name:

Zabine Kapfinger

Give it time. It's a bit of a culture shock at first but it develops.

Actually this is a far better recording.

Maybe then the Beeb could commission a decent car review program that wasn't so boring or pointless and actually gave useful information for a change.
Xac, my exact feelings about Slop Gear or "Men Behaving Badly in Cars".
A totally pointless and downright irritating romp by x3 total arse*oles
for the general population at large to lap up...

Sadly, this is what our country is now best recognised for - cheap infantile
laughs and schoolboy pranks. :x #-o

Oh Andrew, for goodness sake...

It's a comedy show, nothing more... Enjoy it on that basis. Nobody takes it seriously and it does an excellent job of rounding off a good weekend...

I used to be like you and despaired at how it had fallen into the gutter but one I switched attitudes I started to enjoy it immensely..

I do understand entirely where you're coming from on this...

This ^^

You just have to take it at face value. It's entertainment thats related to cars, rather than a car show. If I want to know about a certain car, I can find out huge amounts on the internet and various magazines.

Its a damn sight better than most programmes on TV at the moment. I find the best shows are coming out the US at present.

Yes, Hammond annoys the hell out of me. Clarkson can be a bit of a idiot sometimes, though most the time he is somewhat amusing. On the other I don't think of May as an 'arsehole' at all. Some of his recent solo programmes have been largely interesting.

May is by far the most interesting person on there, i enjoy his topics more than the others, maybe because they tend to be slightly more realistic, but they should let him do more!

Some of Mays other programs are very good, James Mays toy stories for example.

19 minutes to go ...

They should do "James May and CitroJim's book of truth"
A weekly informative program on different car related issues :D

Obviously VBH should make regular guest appearances.

I can see the dismay in May. He has to suffer fools literally. His attempts
to distance himself from the Men Behaving Badly are admirable and truly
watchable; his U2 flight into the edge of Space and the genuine emotions
being shown were inspiring. The scale 1:1 Spitfire too.

It's the Slop Gear I really do have an issue with - Keystone Cops with
"insert audience laughter here" gags is out of place even in a car japes
programme that I accept has no similarity with the Wollard, Goffey and
Noel Edmonds era where there was more 'honesty' if a very banal dry
delivery.

What winds me up more is I realise it's just-for-cheap-laughs-TV as I read
TopGear magazine every month (as a gift subscription) where articles by
the 3 Musketeers are usually very good, thought provoking and a POV
saying many things I feel about our rubbish country. I have all JC's and
JM's books and know they're batter than this rubbish!! I read Performance
Car and Fast Lane etc many moons ago now where these guys cut their
teeth and they can deliver more than being total arses. FFS. :x

But they're just giving what the audience wants and it pays handsomely too
being be a total idiot in Britian C2011. They are clever. Very. I just won't
be wasting my time watching them being deliberately provocative and
infantile.

Andrew
