I've got a feeling that WBAC are connected to Carcraft, who own a chain of car supermarkets (and who originate from very near here). I don't know what their reputation is like on the rest of the country, but nobody with any sense around here would go near them.

Over on the BXC there was a thread about trading standards investigating WBAC as when the cars are finally sold on to the public, many of them have lower milages.
Not sure if WBAC are doing it or if they're selling them on to dodgy garages.

Curiosity made me enter my Mitsubishi Evo 6 details, the offer was £1500 !!!!!!!
I know for definite it would fetch £10k, possibly more because of it's condition and history.
Suspicion is my first reaction to their motives but maybe they have a policy of only buying certain cars below a certain age, avoiding the rest by comedic under bidding ?

If I could get a mid-roof LWB 04 Master for £5K, it'd be a done deal! You could party inside a van like that.

Hi guys

Jennifer from webuyanycar.com here.

I'd like to clarify a few things for you.

For those people who have had a quote that they were unhappy with:Our business simply offers people the chance to get a quote from our website. You are not in any way obliged to accept this quote. It is simply the price we would be willing to buy your car at, taking into consideration a range of factors such as condition of the car, age, mileage and market factors.

What we do is offer a service for customers who value their time, who are looking for the most convenient way of selling their car and don’t want the hassle of selling privately. However, if you want to try and sell your car privately we will happily advise on some of the other routes such as ebay or Gumtree for example.

Also, we wanted to let you know we are no longer part of the UK Car Group or CarCraft.

Kind regards

Jennifer

Hi Jennifer

That all sounds great but i think people who are interested in cars are never going to come to you to sell their car at half its market value and then be charged money by WBAC for the privilege, it laughable really.
Fair enough its aimed at people who veiw cars as white goods and dont want the hassle and is probably a good money spinner but from my point of view at least its another large company with flashy ads preying on clueless masses.

(does anyone else have the feeling they are being watched :eye: )

Another sad thing, that bloody tune is in my head again now....

you would think the value offered for 'the' none desirable cars would be at least scrap value :) not the polite (-expletive removed-) off 50 and 70 quid offers. Like some insurance companies quote £9999 when they would prefer you to look elsewhere

this is a genuine quote for my £70 WBAC Citroen CX GTI Turbo.

Ive been quoted £2000 for the activa at the extreme, seems 10 years of blemish free driving history and full no claims dont count for anything now.

I've gone nearly ten years without being nicked (ignoring the times when you get stopped and there's a mutual dislike of attitudes but nothing actionable). It must be getting closer.

Even with such a "clean" record on paper, I am still declined by some companies.

Is that for real?

Looks like we have been spammed by WBAC, or should that be Wewatchanythread/post.

Jennifer if it is genuine, then you should include a second name, and job title!

We will be looking  out for your reply!
