Well it's been a while

I think i may have found the perfect green Xantia that i have been longing for,it is owned by a Citroen enthusiast and has wanted for nothing by the looks of things

Its's in Birmingham ,which is handy enough for me because i have an uncle that lives there..so i can fly in and get the ferry back

I'v had one quote to get it brought back on a transporter at a mere £488

I should know a bit more later hopefully

The best i could have hoped for, Sx and 1.9 Turbo diesel

Perfect in every way

Just what i wanted

I have to give him a ring tommorow and try and get a flight over this weekend,the ferry back is twice what the flight costs

Will this be a better car than the one you already have?

Those transport costs are steep, and I think traveling around the UK for cars is enough!

Reg is just a number to me tbh

Flight over is €100,and the ferry back is just under €200 and the car itself will cost me €900 then €614 tax and vrt of €600 if i remember correctly ...so just under €3000

Which i dont really have at the moment,but i cant let this go,i dont think one in such good condition will come up again..

You dont live near Birmingham do you Chris

Yes, I agree, im not really concerned about age of cars, as long as its a good one thats all I want. I know it seems odd that i have updated my C5s, but that was just my aim to get this one, the one i originally wanted but couldn't afford at the time.

€3000, wow!

Yes, if you spot a good car that you want, you must get it!

Nope, I don't unfortunately, about 180 miles North ...

I would like a modern "new" car who wouldn't i just don't think i would enjoy driving as much as i would driving my favourite car every day

The C4 is nice in some ways as is a C5 but there still out of my price range

The Xantia is just made for me really

..It's everything i could need and want in a car..

I have to ring this guy tommorow ,by the sounds of things he's an old gent..i just hope he hasn't sold it ..just my luck

Ah, modern cars are overrated in a lot of ways

Im starting to dislike having so much money tied up in a car

As is the C5 for me, though i feel a Xantia or XM would also suit my needs and wants very nicely!

Good luck with the Xantia, hopefully it will still be for sale.

What will this be, your 4th?

9/10 of them are scrap in fairness,nobody treats them well..

I seen a fella the other day bouncing along the motorway in a xantia,with the front spheres clearly needing doing..

This xantia that im hopefully getting has just had a new timing belt and auxillary belt and looks to have had a very easy life,so im happy enough tp pay that as long as there isn't anything major need doing

Like i said Robert,im a sucker for them

It is as close to perfect as im ever going to find in the colour and exact spec that i want,it's lovely
