Getting back on track here;
There probably wouldn't be much of a difference between the two, but I'd say the Xantia would be an awful lot more comfortable at that sort of speed and has better brakes and whatnot too.

Yes, i would say it is, the 2.1 is very good on fuel when you want it to be but the 2.0HDi 110 does beat it for economy without trying. Overall performance is similar, however the HDi has pull more of the time.

Im still wanting to get my 2.0HDi remapped, i can imagine that would be pretty good, more performance and possibly more MPG when not using the extra go. That is how its worked on other remapped cars ive had the experience of.

I tend to cruise at around 60mph on motorways. My Xantia HDi 110 is definately more economical than my previous 2.1td. Don't think an HDi 90 would do so well on motorway runs.

Honestly, you could lose your licence. Honest.
I would imagine so too, over 100MPH is a pretty big deal to the speed officials!

Im surprised, if you often travel at 100, that you have not encountered the consequences already.

oh, thats okay then. I saw that in the high way code, it is quite correct and responsible to travel at those speeds at that time of day :)

wouldn't catch me doing that! No really.. you'd have to be going faster ;)

I'm not saying 100mph is more unsafe than driving at 70mph, but the fact that everyone else does it, wont hold up too well if/when you get caught doing a ton on the motorway.

Im sure we all go a 'bit' over 70 at times, so lets not get hung up on that.

I was treating it as a hypothetical question :)
