Poor thing
She's going to look so much better with a bit of TLC
What happened to her originally Paul? Looks like an argument with something hard and immovable...
That rust. Take the boot carpet out and then remove the cabin air exhaust box from the inner wing and see if there's any rust behind it. The cabin air exhaust exit in the rear inner wings is a bit of a potential rust trap...

Not being funny but the cruise control looks kind of butchered.
Are the miles genuine/verified?
Its possible that the steering shroud was broken when it was removed to wind the miles back and they had to find another to put in its place and didn't put it in nicely or there is just a rubber grommet missing...
Looks good though if the miles are genuine and will keep you a wee bit busy hey

You know Will, I puzzled on how you could tell this from the pictures above. Though't you'd developed X-ray vision!!!KP wrote:Not being funny but the cruise control looks kind of butchered.
Then all became clear when I looked at the pictures on page 1.
I believe there's a rubber flap behind the cruise stalk as there is for the indicator stalk. That hole does look a bit unique and after-market though. Bitten out by a killer rabbit by the looks of it...

Right, cruise... the cowling covers were broken and all wobbley...
So into the stack in the shed to find one, ALL Xantia Cowls have got the 3 screw positions for the stalk inside them, they just need the hole punching out the side for the stalk to poke through... so, yup, with a drill rather then a small file, I made the hole, but not put the grommet back. Thats if I can still find the grommet...!!
The cruise works! And well too! after I fixed it...
As for Miles, its 21k plus around 68k... as theres a service record to around 68k.. so my guess is a new speedo head has been fitted.. as for controls and trim, shes not that worn nor are the pedals, so Im estimating 80 - 90k if that...
Chris570, already had 6 months use from her in Page one Picture state... but she now needs a few bits n pieces. 3x ABS sensors, lower engine mount, passenger mirror is a standard one, NOT a dipping exclusive one, cam belt swap.. Front suspension feed pipes need replacing, they were non coated and almost rusted through...rear electro valve is permanetly faulty according to Lexi.. Ive got ALL these parts, bar a "Proper" V6 Wing.. I have the bumper too!
Jim, what she hit, both me and David Hallworth are unsure... as you can see the rear passenger window was smashed, but David had done a reletavly good job keeping her dry, she was not that wet!
Behind the wing and bumper is unharmed, so so straightening to do there either...
