Swap the two pipes on the side over just incase they're crossed (or should be crossed)
Been there and done that!

Yes thought about that, actually undid those pipes again, but the angles that pipes go in at makes me think i've not got them wrong; I'd have to slightly bend the pipe ends to get them to line up!?

Was thinking whilst trying to get to sleep last night ... when i depressurized the system again thinkng I'd put those 2 pipes on the wrong way, I undid both the union bolts and from one they was an incredible build up of fluid pressure which caught me unawares!!
I'm thinking pipes round wrong way or HC valve blocked or facing wrong way etc etc.
Your thoughts please?

If you can wait until this evening, I'll dive under the back of Cassy to compare.
I need to get her rubber cap off anyway to see what's causing her leak.

No worries, I've done it myself and it confused the hell out of me when the back wouldn't rise, of course that was on an activa so the anti roll system was also trying to help/hinder! :D

Right changed the pipes around today ... does make a difference!!!

Something's still not 100% right. The rear end seems a little sluggish in rising.

The rear seems to be at it's best height if I pump the brakes a bit. Does this ring any bells with anyone or is it just air in the system?

cheers.

Bleed your rear brakes, it's a good idea to do that anyway, and also check the caliper alignment as corrosion builds up between it and the arm pushing it out at an angle.
There's a thread on bleeding and changing spheres which covers what to do.
